Team Sky

2012 marks Team Sky’s third year on the UCI ProTour, set up in 2009 and going from strength to strength the team are hoping to build on a promising 2011 campaign which saw the squad finish second in the UCI World Tour rankings.

Ian has been a member of the squad since it began along with riders like Bradley Wiggins, Geraint Thomas, Juan-Antonio Flecha, Edvald Boasson-Hagen and for 2012 the team are excited to announce the signing of current World Champion, Mark Cavendish as well as 7 other new riders to the team including for this season.

Featuring world-class talents from 12 nations, and including ten British riders Team Sky will be aiming for a highly successful 2012

Since becoming Principal Partner of British Cycling, Sky has used its relationship with millions of homes to encourage families to get out and ride in order to help their health, their fitness and the environment. Sky is also working with British Cycling to develop a range of inspiring events, to make cycling fun, easy and accessible to all, which will be announced in the spring.
